Former litigator. Legal technologist. Product manager.
As a former litigator and legal technologist, Kiernan helps law firms modernize their practices through thoughtful technology adoption. He believes the true value of artificial intelligence is not just large language models, but AI's ability to create tailor-made software to streamline administrative tasks and workflows for firms of every size.
His approach to legal technology is built on three principles:
Kiernan has been working at the intersection of AI and legal technology since 2024, as a founder, product manager, and author. He has led and contributed to the development of multiple legal software products, and is a contributing author of Equalizing Justice: Harnessing AI for Litigants Without Lawyers (Cambridge University Press, 2026).
Prior to this, Kiernan served as a public defender, civil litigator, and trial attorney representing clients throughout Colorado and Arizona. That firsthand experience informs every recommendation, implementation, and custom solution he delivers.
